The Servant of Two Masters
Carlo Goldoni
Directed by Chris Canfield
What happens when one mischievous servant tries to juggle two masters without either of them finding out?
Absolute mayhem.
Join us for a night of mistaken identities, secret romances, wild disguises, and fast-talking fools in Carlo Goldoni’s timeless satire, The Servant of Two Masters. A delightfully chaotic comedy that’s been leaving audiences in stitches for over 250 years—now with our classic BBP flair.

Praise for The Boise Bard Players
Everyone needs to take in a presentation from The Boise Bard Players. I love that this community of artists flow so fluidly with classic material handled with a variety of directors and vantage points that encourage an understanding of theater enjoyment. Every production has a creative edge that gives a huge spin to embrace each in the audience, weaving through story and relaying emotions to heighten the experiences within relatable characters.
Minimalist Shakespeare that is compelling, relevant, engaging AND entertaining.
This group is absolute genius! Bringing Shakespeare to a street level performance! Locals performing the heights of the English language while using minimal pomp to evoke the emotions that drive us. Don’t miss the chance to see something incredibly amazing!
BRAVO to The Boise Bard Players! Sooooo much talent! They bring a fresh energy to their productions. Plus their unconventional locations let you be up close and personal.
The Boise Bard Players is the best thing that’s happened to the Idaho arts scene in recent memory. No other group makes arts and culture as relevant, accessible, and fun as BBP! I haven’t EVER enjoyed a play as much as I did Cymbeline.
What a great small theatre company giving the Treasure Valley a most excellent opportunity to see Shakespeare up close and at a very reasonable price! The actors are top notch and make the show fun!
My family of four has enjoyed experiencing local, affordable, high-quality Shakespeare at outdoor, neighborhood venues that are welcoming to all ages. What a treat!
It was a new experience for me to be encouraged to take photos during a play, but The Boise Bard Players do quite a few things differently. Their spare productions in unusual locations are a throwback to how plays were often performed in Shakespeare’s time.
BBP performs in the simplest of terms to create layers of richly dramatic conflict. Thank you BBP for challenging our preconceived notions of theater and creating another strong artistic voice in Boise.
The Boise Bard Players have delivered each time I’ve attended one of their shows! From beginning to end, it is clear that they put their heart and soul into each production.
They provide a more intimate setting, with all of the depth and feeling the plays deserve. I will continue attending as long as they continue performing!
I love that BBP is mobile and performs in unique environments like the Old Pen, the Bishops’ House, and clients living in assisted living facilities, and I love supporting their mission to make Shakespeare accessible and affordable for our community.
Your performance was remarkable. It’s going to haunt me for a long time! You guys did an amazing job. Very much enjoyed the entire experience.
Your cast was fantastic, and the original take was refreshing and so fun! Making Shakespeare accessible is difficult and you all succeeded. Loved it!
